For spinners who explore handspun yarn as an artistic medium, where yarn plays a role in the spheres of form & function. Please share pix of your art yarn creations, communicate the concept / ideas behind the yarn, & your creative process.
I'm in love with fiber and spinning in particular. Love the process of creating a beautiful yarn from a variety of colors and textures. some comes from my own small Shetland flock. I am blessed to have a small farm in the country complete with ramshackle farm house and various critters...including my sweet partner Alan.
I like Sheltand fiber. I hope you have good luck in finding homes for your sheep.
I'm originally from Mt. Sterling, Ky. I lived in Lexington and Paris also.
I really miss Kentucky.

Hi Phyllis, I joined awhile ago but up to now haven't really participated. Looking around, there are a lot of beautiful yarns and talented spinners. I too am just starting to learn my way around. Hope to add some pics and blog some more soon.
Yes I am in Ky now, originally from NJ...the world spins round doesn't it! Where in KY are you from?
I have Shetlands: 8 ewes, a weather and 5 rams....I've decided that the rams have to find new homes. I am willing to pass them on to someone who will take care of them. They are all good conformation but only one (the sire) has been bred. They are eligible for registration if that is a concern for anyone. This is the first plae I have posted this! I will be putting this on my blog soon and other places.
I love my Shetlands but space has become an issue and those boys need mates to be happy.
Hi Luna,
I see on your profile page that you are from Kentucky. I live in Alabama but am originally from Ky. I see from your blog that you raise sheep. I'm new to this site and am trying to learn my way around.
Happy spinning,
Phyllis
